We have provided on-site construction support services for the White Quartz Road Realignment situated at the Brockman 4 Mine Site in the Pilbara.
BG&E Resources completed this work after the successful delivery of both the pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, where our team provided several design options to provide access to nearby ore deposits by separating autonomous dump truck operations and light vehicle access to the mine site. This involved a multidisciplinary solution including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and geotechnical engineering.
Our team provided full-time technical support and construction surveillance by working closely on the delivery of the project with the Rio Tinto Iron Ore (RTIO) team where they benefited from our expertise in structural concrete, earthworks/pavements, electrical, water and communication services.
In addition to this, we provided off-site commercial support and a technical interface to assist with scope change and queries. This support assisted with the delivery of the RTIO contract by streamlining the assessment of claims, variations and schedule slippage whilst minimising their commercial exposure.
By delivering the project from pre-feasibility through to construction close-out, BG&E Resources played a key role in providing a high quality, cost-effective package of work to RTIO which minimised risk to its stakeholders.
