The Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) is approximately 457.5 hectares in size, and formed part of the enabling works for the Roy Hill Mine. The tailings storage facility is a two-cell structure, with decant return structures and underflow drainage. The engineering works for the TSF were undertaken by engineering consultants and managed by Roy Hill. The engineering works were undertaken to accommodate use of locally won materials, which resulted in significant savings to the project. The role of Project Director Infrastructure and Contract Superintendent for the majority of the construction contracts was undertaken by our team of engineers. The role encompassed all aspects of the works from engineering, procurement, contract management, construction and project management.
