Specialist Tooling Design & Procurement Support

We are reviewing the maintenance and operations requirements to prepare a scoping matrix for Pilbara Minerals’ P680 Expansion Project. Our work will help determine the company’s requirements for specialist tooling design.

The P680 Project is part of Pilbara Minerals’ expansion of the Pilgangoora Operation in Western Australia. Located 120km from Port Hedland, the Pilgangoora Operation comprises two processing plants – Ngungaju and Pilgan. The latter aims to produce 360,000 to 380,000 tpa of spodumene concentrate and a tantalite concentrate as a by-product of this process.

The completion of the P680 expansion will add 100,000 tpa to Pilgangoora’s current capacity of 580,000 tpa.

To maintain the Primary Rejection, Crushing and Sorting Circuits, Pilbara Minerals requires specialist tooling and shipping frames for the key components of the Pilgan Plant’s concentrator.

Upon completion of this scope of works, BG&E Resources was further engaged to provide the Operational Readiness Engineering support to deliver a design for specialised tooling not commercially available off the shelf, and liaised with vendors for off-the-shelf solutions where available.
