The MOF was required to accommodate heavy lift vessels up to 165m LOA offloading modules up to 40 metres in length. The design consisted of a rock causeway approach to a piled combi wall with tiebacks. BGER worked closely with the marine contractor to optimise the design for this fast-track project. By reviewing the clients original concept design for this facility, BGER was able to reduce the costs of the facility by approximately $20 million due to removing the requirement for a large ballasted barge.
