A major mining proponent has engaged BG&E Resources (BGER) to prepare an execution plan for the Bankable Feasibility Study (BFS) of a new proposed Iron Ore development.
We completed the civil engineering design of the basic mine site and leveraged the capabilities of our Project Delivery team for the project’s development plan.
Our work helped the client’s operational readiness for site approval constraints and demonstrated the viability of the project.
Some of our engineering solutions were integrated into the stockpile design and added to our project execution plan.
The proponent’s project delivery staff collaborated with our civil and mechanical teams on potential designs and haulage routes for relocating the crushed ore via road trains to the nominated stockpile. We also assisted the client with the selection of fit-for-purpose machinery and developed a contracting strategy planning to meet the proposed schedule and budget.
Understanding the client’s tight BFS deadlines, we completed the report in six weeks to support plans for the company’s funding stage gates.
