Managing Director

30 year’s experience in project and business management, Craig is the Managing Director of BG&E Resources, a company that was founded in 2017 and specialises in engineering and design services for resources, industrial and energy sectors. Craig’s diverse expertise range from works packages, utilities and NPI facilities, contributing to his unique blend of skills encompassing across all aspects of project delivery. Tony Comerford

Technical Director

35 year’s experience of Technical Engineering, Project and Engineering Management with a diverse background covering metals processing and refining, chemical plant, port facilities and industrial projects. Tony’s extensive experience covers the conceptual design, design, documentation, project management, construction management and commissioning of complex multidiscipline projects, both Greenfields and within operating plants as well as design office management and supervision of technical staff. Tony has significant materials handling experience covering all types of materials handling, stockyard and port loading and unloading equipment and conveyance types, across a wide variety of raw materials, final products, concentrates, hard rock and large-scale iron ore projects.

Katrina Grose

Chief Financial Officer

20 years of experience as a results-driven Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary with extensive finance experience across ASX-listed, private and NFP entities. Katrina’s expertise spans a range of industries including financial services, retail, engineering consulting, mining and exploration, biotechnology, horticulture and lifestyle village construction & management. Her specialist skills include leading teams of Finance, Payroll and Administration staff through periods of cultural change and is adept at streamlining processes to increase efficiency and improve governance.

Joe Allen

Director, Operations & Director, Resources

15 years of experience in design, construction, and operation of process plants with diverse experience across mining, power generation and infrastructure projects.  Joe’s experience in leading teams through all scales and phases of projects is proven, having recently overseen projects across Lithium, Power Generation and Water. His specialist skills include concept studies and layout development, capital cost estimates for complete project lifecycle and co-ordination of the interface between engineering and project execution.    

Gavin Wearne

Director, Ports & Marine

20 years of experience in the Port and Maritime industry. Gavin’s core technical speciality is ocean and coastal engineering with expertise in numerical modelling, physical modelling, metocen criteria determination, full bridge ship handling simulation, UKC Studies, port marine structure design and mooring analysis. Gavin also has detailed experience in dynamic supply chain simulation and the preparation of capital and operating cose estimates in support of feasibility studies.

Doug Tapper

Director, Energy

20 years of experience in mechanical engineering in the Energy and Infrastructure sectors, with project management and substantial technical and commercial experience across a variety of technologies. Doug’s project experience has been in the areas of gas and diesel-fired generation, cogeneration, islanded generation, conventional thermal plant and more recently renewable technologies and large-scale energy storage. Doug has considerable experience in a range of areas including conceptual design, technical, construction, construction methodologies, economic feasibility studies, due diligence, technical advisory, and project management.

Kate Hartness

Director, ESG & Development

25 years’ experience working with clients and communities in the Infrastructure, Mining, Energy and Property sectors, Kate’s experience spans strategic ESG, including developing decarbonisation roadmaps, target setting aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, ESG reporting and materiality assessments, among others. As a seasoned facilitator, Kate has led several community consultation and engagement projects, including with First Nations peoples, as well as programmes to enhance ethical procurement, improve diversity and inclusion, build local capacity, mitigate risk and reduce modern slavery. Kate’s credentials also include government relations, specifically helping clients to navigate through evolving public policy and driving improved governance, and strategy, business planning, project management, client experience and investor relations.

Jason Fong

Director, Geotechnical

28 years of experience in the geotechnical aspects of long linear infrastructure including planning (geotechnical constrains), site investigation, construction materials assessment and geotechnical design of slopes, retaining structures, ground improvement, foundations and construction support. Jason’s engineering experience includes the successful completion of geotechnical design lead and project management roles for the delivery of major enabling infrastructure developments in mining, transport, oil and gas, water and commercial / industrial / residential developments through the planning, site investigation, design, construction and operational phases of projects.

General Manager, People & Culture

10 years of experience as a proactive and driven People and Culture leader with extensive experience in the oil & gas and mining sectors. A passion for driving a high-performing and inclusive culture with a proven ability to contribute to a company at both strategic and operational levels when delivering commercially sound people management strategies. Bianca is a dedicated, focused and enthusiastic professional committed to delivering exceptional employee outcomes.

Jamie Little

General Manager, Commercial

20 years of experience overseeing commercial aspects of projects and businesses within the engineering and resource mining industries, including contract negotiations, project controls, insurances, supply chain management, corporate governance and compliance. Jamie’s experience encompasses minerals, energy, O&M, sustaining capital, and NPI projects, working for listed and Fortune 500 companies. By creating highly efficient and organised teams, Jamie adds value for internal and external clients while managing risks and opportunities for strategic partnerships and growth.
