Advancing Careers at the Curtin University Expo

This week, BG&E Resources (BGER) engaged with students who are seeking a career in engineering and various sciences, at the Curtin University Careers Expo (Expo).

This activity aligns with the launch of BGER’s Graduate Program. It was an exciting opportunity to meet potential future leaders and to showcase our offering to students in their penultimate and final years of study.

BGER offers a range of opportunities for students pursuing careers in mechanical, civil, structural, electrical, process and chemical engineering, geoscience, and coastal and marine science, among others.

Representing our vast range of disciplines, BGER attendees at the Expo included Matt Green, Austin Lingard, Jack Pitsikas and Tiana Andreello.

Matt Green is an Engineering Geologist who joined the business as a Graduate. Today, in addition to providing innovative technical solutions for clients, he continues to engage with universities and inspire the next generation of geologists.

Austin Lingard is a Civil Engineer and a Fellow Alumnus of Curtin University. After graduating, he often returns to the campus in various capacities, including participating in career fairs, as he believes it is important to maintain connections between academia and industry.

Jack Pitsikas is a Graduate Mechanical Engineer and a shining example of an ambitious young professional who joined BGER as an Undergraduate Engineer while completing his Bachelor’s Degree. He has successfully completed his degree while gaining a solid start in his career in engineering with our Mechanical team. He is also a Fellow Alumnus of Curtin University.

Tiana Andreello is a Marketing and Communications Advisor and has played an important role in promoting BGER’s Graduate Program alongside the People & Culture team. She has a background in attending such events and is eager to share BGER’s offering with students and candidates alike.

BGER encourages undergraduates to join the business and pursue work experience with our teams, as this will provide an engaging, supportive and interesting learning experience, as well as a preview into a potential future career.
