Tony Comerford
Technical Director
Tony has over 30 years’ experience of Technical Engineering, Project and Engineering Management with a diverse background covering metals processing and refining, chemical plant, port facilities and industrial projects. His extensive experience covers the conceptual design, design, documentation, project management, construction management and commissioning of complex multidiscipline projects, both Greenfields and within operating plants as well as design office management and supervision of technical staff. Tony has significant materials handling experience covering all types of materials handling, stockyard and port loading and unloading equipment and conveyance types, across a wide variety of raw materials, final products, concentrates, hard rock and large-scale iron ore projects.
Steve Ash
Engineering Manager
Steve has 25 years’ experience as a structural engineer and in the design of structures for brownfields mining and resource projects. Steve is a pragmatic engineer who believes in applying the most appropriate engineering approach to solving engineering problems efficiently. His technical experience includes a broad range of projects across the globe including land based and marine structures, process plants and NPI, dynamics and 3rd Party Audits.
Kanishka Pathirana
Lead Electrical Engineer
Kanishka is a principal electrical engineer with 25 years’ experience spanning electrical detailed design, project management, as well as planning and contract management for national and international organisations. Kanishka has a broad range of experience in delivering industrial projects including design of MV and LV power distribution networks, load flow analysis, motor control centres and VVVFs (MV/LV), design of control systems (PLC) infrastructure, lighting and lighting control systems and lightning Protection.
Ian Putt
Principal Ports and Marine Engineer
Ian has 30+ years’ experience in structural design and construction of heavy infrastructure, including prestressed and reinforced concrete, steel/concrete composite, and timber structures. He has been directly involved in large EPCM projects including the Gorgon LNG Project, the new port at Cape Preston for the Sino Iron project, Geraldton Berth 5 Project, Goro Nickel Project (New Caledonia) and Cape Lambert Wharf Upgrade Project including extensive site-based roles. Ian has extensive experience in the field of major marine & associated infrastructure projects including King Fahd Industrial Port, Saudi Arabia, the upgrade of the Cape Lambert Wharf, Kwinana Bulk Terminal and more recently the upgrade to Webb Dock in Melbourne.
